Pros & Cons
Pros
I use my xbox 360 as a media extender. This remote is a perfect way to watch dvds (or any media) without having to navigate using a regular controller, which can be a bit cumbersome for the purpose.
Isley has programmed it to work on his tv. Works for cable and xbox and its awesome. I use my xbox to watch hulu and netflix and that's all isley watch.
Cons
For a few bucks more, microsoft could have produced a remote that wasn't a frustrating disappointment. Only thing positive is the design. Soooo just like everyone else says. They say if it is defective they will pay.
The remote requires direct line of sight to work. The xbox hardly sees the signal. The track wheel in the middle is awkward and easy to mis-dial with adult hands.
It's way too easy to hit the wrong button. Instead of navigating back a screen, you end up turning the 360 off. Unless you have the layout of the * memorized you have to turn on a light to see what you are pressing.
Fresh batteries and still dead. Change batteries 3 times with fresh ones, still no dice. It's a 50-50 chance that it'll actually transmit the signal, with or without new batteries.
