I'm thankful it was. Sort of like a short shifter on a car. Its huge size and weight are an added bonus.

The stick, the *, and everything about the console all feel really good. It's plug & play and uses the same drivers all other xbox 360 controllers do. The controller is only slightly less heavy than the xbox 360 itself.

Also, the control panel has a very fine hammered texture to it and isn't prone to scratches like the madcatz stick.

I do own a madcatz stick as well, (modded to seimitsu parts).

The default gate that is included can be changed between an 8-way square gate, and a 4-way cross gate.
