Because it's the oem microsoft receiver, you won't have driver issues, etc like you will with the no-name receivers.

It is a little expensive for what it is, but that's the price of convenience, i guess.

Just remember that you also need the microsoft drivers installed on your computer for this component to work

Tried 2 xbox controllers and they both works simultaneously without requiring configuration

One minor inconvenience is that when you shut down the unit where this receiver is connected sometimes the remote stays on and tries to connect back

It works great i bought it to use with the raspberry pi 3 b it was literally just plug and play i expected to have to install drivers or something but nope just plug it in
