Silver outer layer reflects out some part of the radiation. Keeps the car 15-20° cooler with the shade. I have a noticeable much cooler interior while parked.

I have to say i did not expect to miss having a solid roof that blocks the sun, this product works great for this purpose.
Keeps the car 15-20° cooler with the shade.
So i hope they send me 10 more clips to solve the problem with the halve back shade.
Only negative i see is driving with your windows down at high speeds because of the noise it makes with the double layer on.

It is a 2 piece cover consisting of a defused screen mesh panel and a silver colored reflective cloth panel that slips over the first panel if you want an opaque reflective surface facing the roof glass
