While not the cables fault what i didnt know until afterwards is that converting from a 14 trs to an xlr connector there is a 10db reduction in audio volume

When i sat down to play my yamaha keyboard using the same yamaha powered speakers as before i now had to push the volume slide control all the way up to hear
