Pros & Cons
Pros
My daughter is a talented artist; this is her gift for her birthday. This is the fifth tablet i have purchased through amazon. In short, it's fantastic!
The lighted dial is a great tool. It is much better than the wacom finger dial thingy. If you're looking for a quality tablet to start off with, this tablet is for you!
Tablet has a metal body and a matte surface. Surface feels like it is well-adhered to the frame. The aluminum body is solid and there is no flex.
The precision of the on screen cursor is perfect. It's perfect size to mimic real life size paper and it's got the extra * and the wheel to zoom in and out or undo changes. I wish the tablet has a little more space on the right edge so when i do any e... Read More
Scroll wheel is pretty smooth and the top is like touchpad that is receptive enough. Slightly jumpier than a traditional mouse, but there are easy shortcut workarounds. Best thing about this tablet is the touchpad inside the wheel.
Cons
From day one there were bugs and issues with this device. The driver is buggy at best and absolutely unusable at worst. The drivers are cumbersome and time consuming to install.
The cursor frequently disengages. The scroll wheel isn't very responsive. The apple pencil is instant as if it's spewing ink out the nib. It sometimes crashes randomly.
Third-party seller here on amazon is horrid. This is unacceptable. Requested return and ordered a wacom intuos pro large.
Highlights
Quality
There is a lot to learn with this product.
I'm very happy with the product and the price i paid for it i had some credit and i bought it on sale.
So i wanted to get the wacom pth660, but at 400 dollars, i instead went with the huion q11k.
Mouse mode works - you guessed it - like a mouse.
Price
Is not perfect but with this price i can work with it.
Huion is okay for the hardware but didn't like the drivers.
Packaging/appearance
I went from owning the huion kamvas that was too heavy, bulky, and uncomfortable to this.
Competitiveness
I needed something inexpensive and this has a lot more features than the competitor.
I'm primarily using it with krita (in a 64bit windows 10 pc environment), and i have absolutely no complaints.
I feel that i'm missing nothing from a competitor drawing tablet.
I have a cintiq 16, as well, but it's very hard to set up with my limited desk space and then once it's set up i can hardly use... Read More
