Pros & Cons
Pros
The screen is smooth and the color is rich. Very thin and not bulky. The screen quality is rather nice, it's responsive. If you are a beginner in digital art, that this is a nice place to start.
Xp-pen is a great alternative to the overpriced wacom cintiq 13hd. Steam is free, and krita is only $10 on steam and it works beautifully. Installed xp-pen drivers.
The pen is heavier than the pen that comes with the intuos manga edition. It seems like the pen is floating 3 millimeter from where you were supposed to draw - but once you adapt to it - it's fine.
Cons
Customer service is very argumentative and will not help you beyond basic information. Customer service reps are not helpful at all, they just repeat what is written in their pathetic pdf. Buyer beware. Likely my last xp-pen purchase.
There is horrible lag and if you are use to doing art on pen and paper this horribly frustrating. Line jitters, ink blobs and uneven pressure sensitivity. The pen * are super sensitive and even if you have them off in the display settings, pressing th... Read More
The stylus always stopped working every time i reconnected it. The calibration software and parralax are terrible. Could not even install the driver on my mac easily.
Highlights
Quality
The product is of excellent quality and performance.
Fast, responsive, well made, i went back and forth if i should buy this but in the end i’ve really enjoyed it and wish i had got it sooner.
The instructions for set up are terrible and the diagram even has the cords installed in the wrong slots.
No on-tablet controls so screens don’t have to be rotated and nothing touches your hands or wrists as you move around the display.
Price
Excellent, great for a college student and it’s under $300 for a 15.
For the price, the quality is incredible.
I honestly couldn't see myself spending 3 times the price for a wacom.
If you can check around christmas or lunar new years for discounts or sales.
Shipping
This arrived quickly and packages as new, as it was, new.
Packaging/appearance
The display comes with a drawing glove, if you're into that kind of thing, and a packed in basic stand.
The factory packaging is really pleasant, which is a little thing i enjoy when purchasing gadgets and devices- xp-pen didn't disappoint.
Competitiveness
I have used and reviewed many tablets from other companies and this tablet is a huge improvement over other offerings in simila... Read More
It is accurate, as accurate as my wacom.
After pouring through many reviews and comparisons of wacom products and the alternate competitors on the market, namely huion and xp-pen.
The keypad is a bit easier to use than others i've tried, though i don't often use these included keypads very much.
