Pros

The xterra rower is sturdy and well made. The foot strap settings are better than the h2o fitness rowers.

The rower comes well packaged in one box. It comes with a siphon and a funnel. Flipping it upright for storing is easy.

It's slightly less than a 30 min running workout for me, but more than any other solo machine. Not too bad on the hands either in case you have arthritis. It's a great workout. I wish it recorded the time per 500km in a summary when finished.

Cons

When i place my shoe in it, my foot or shoe keep getting caught on the heel plastic support and it is soooo annoying. Although it was under warranty, they provide no coverage for labor - only parts.

Sadly, this machine lasted about a month when something went south inside the rowing mechanism and it wouldn’t recoil correctly.

Was able to get it for $389, well worth it.

I have been looking for a good affordable rowing machine for some time now and got this for my birthday from my wife.

Anyway today is 1/15 just finished rowing on the new machine they sent at no cost to me.

I was nervous when i called amazon and all they could do was a 30% discount on a new one from a different company.

Shipping

Xterra customer service (rhiannon) handled my claim quickly to have replacements sent out.

I called the company and they were courteous and promptly shipped me a replacement which has worked without issue.

Got the part shipped the same day!

It arrived early in easy to assemble pieces.

Packaging/appearance

The packaging was really good, the instructions were very user friendly, easy to set up, and operate.

Came with all bolts, tools, and batteries!

Competitiveness

I bought this rower since it was more competitively priced than other options in the same "class.

He specifically asked for this machine as he was looking into different brands and this one stuck out to him.

Most other rowers in this price range have a warranty that is under a year.
