    There are bars that support under each shelf which are why able to hold the weight stated

    You do have to tap the shelf supports down with a rubber mallet to make strong connections suggested in the directions

    The shelves are great unfortunately one of the brackets that attach the top shelf to the bottom was missing leaving us with 2 completed shelves instead of 3
