My only real complaint is that though there is the extension at the top to stretch to the ceiling my ceilings are vaulted and the extension will only work for a flat ceiling a simple design fix would be to put the end on an angled pivot

Assembly directions are good but not perfect

As you add additional levels keep in mind the three cubbys or caves whatever you want to call them are not identical

I put the supporting posts in each cubby with the screws loosely attached then put the cubby for the level on the unit and kept moving the cubby around until some of the holes lined up on the posts underneath and did not close the holes that would allow for the supporting posts

Lastly the piece that attaches to the top and is meant to push against the ceiling could have a larger diameter rod the one that is provided has a little too much flex to it for my liking but having said that it does push down on the whole unit well enough to keep it from being a catastrophe with both cats climbing right to the top so dont expect it to be an issue other than the unit itself rocking a bit from the top

The instructions were not as clear as they should have been
