Pros

Using this to secure my 17' 50lb kayak. I go kayaking with my brother and have both my kayaks strapped in and secured before he gets his secured in a truck bed. Used to cartop a canoe.

Over all i'm very happy with how it looks and how it performs. Updated my review. These things are a miracle!

The strap buckle is rubber coated so it won't scratch your vehicle. I'm still getting used to securing all the straps. This product gives great support to my 55lb kayak and it leaves no scratches on the car either.

The yakima top loader is super easy to install and remove. Extremely easy and safe installation and removal. Easy to install ( less then 10 minutes).

Cons

The problem is that it leaks water into the vehicle when it's raining. What i found out is that after traveling with it on with nothing loaded on the roof it scratched my car by the doors.

This is a very simple, and easy to use for transporting your kayak, and at a good price

No use spending $300 - $500+ unless you need to haul a lot more than the 80 lbs limit.
