Pros & Cons

Pros

Price competitive, quality excellent, durability excellent. Purchase with confidence. Works great. Satisfied so far.

This style of carrier attaches to the hitch receiver with a hitch bolt and clip. Make sure to tighten the fastening bolt on your hitch all the way tight, it is more stable this way.

The cadillac is 65 lbs. It is very sturdy with my bikes on it. It actually holds 60lbs per bike.

Holds my mtb in well. Would prefer a tighter fit, so there wouldn't be any wobble. Each tray can be adjusted laterally a few inches to give best clearance.

The locking cables are a little too short for my sm trek lush, but fit around all of our other mountain bikes. I wish the security cable was longer and thicker but i purchased an additional cable to wrap both bikes to the rack.

Cons

Yakima holdup is too heavy for our 25lb bikes. Can't be used with fat bikes. Can only be used to veer off the road.

Once the pin is muscled in, it's guaranteed it'll be a fight to remove it. The rack requires * a bolt through your hitch to secure.

Quality

Took about two minutes to put two bikes on it and lock them with the two included locks.

I've had this for a few months now and am overall pleased.

Otherwise, couldn’t open back hatch - even with the tilt.

With the bikes in place i never saw them move on the inaugural 200 mile trip.

Price

Price is a consideration for me but the item must be able to do the mission.

I understand there is a updated version of this one but it costs $100+ more.

Shipping

Purchased this rack from netrush (at a discount and free shipping!

Packaging/appearance

On our first rest stop i checked the front wheel clamps, and got just one more click out of the ratchet.

Competitiveness

It added an additional $45, but it works well and is much less than an evo model.

Easy to install and safe and secure fit for our two e-bikes.

I learned this unit is an older design and not really intended for the newer long wheelbase 29-er bikes.
