Pros

Can load 2 canoes or a canoe and 2 kayaks with ease. This is a great rack for those who don't want the heavy and bulky cage style racks. Round is classic and looks the best.

Cons

Not so with round bars.

Because the caps are fused, you can't cut them apart with a hacksaw.

Although it did dampen the noise, it was still loud enough to be annoying. Also, with a preponderance of driving at 65-75 mph, mpg is off by 5-6 percent.

I thought it would never arrive do to a delivery snafu but it was worth the wait.

They arrived in new condition in a timely manner.

Packaging/appearance

Would be nice if end caps were included as well and did not have to be ordered separately!

Competitiveness

Yakima has good products and less expensive than other brands.

I use them in conjunction with yakima hully rollers and mako aero mounts.
