I have two sup's (33 wide and the other 31 wide) purchaed an additional cam strap that was a little longer than the one provided.
I did take the recommendation from another view and replaced the strap with and fcs tie-down that allows for the width of two boards.

I dont think they can more stable with the ability to put it on and take it off so quickly to avoid theft when you are in the water
