The keelover brackets have to attach onto the aluminum part of the whisper bar and since the plastic part of the whisperbar sticks out 2 12 there is not enough room on the bars to fit the keelover brackets and the width of the canoe

Black plastic cover practically falls off by itself

The one complaint i have is that as others have noted it is almost impossible to get the covers to lock back in place at the end of the installation
