Pros & Cons
Pros
It installs and programs easily, they just plug in when you install. Build quality on these is solid, and the installation went great on pre-drilled doors. Good choice for our circumstances.
Iot setup worked well for me, i'm reasonably proficient. Realistically there aren't many scenarios where you wouldn't want your front door locked anyway. This is different than other z-wave controllers in our system, such as the lights which respond i... Read More
Works well for keypad use, experience with the zwave has been frustrating - not reliable. The schlage product uses the combo to enable you to unlock the deadbolt with a handturn.
I have one that's in direct sunlight with 100 degree f summers and its been working great for the last three years. I use eneloops so the battery life & recharging isn't a problem anyway. This is why some people report really poor battery life.
Cons
The lock constantly needs to be re-progremmed when you change the batteries. The batteries are fine, but whenever you press any key the device makes a few notes of chirping. If you see any indication of excessive battery use send it back to amazon.

Packaging/appearance

I also bought the touch screen version, and had to contact support for that device (this one worked properly out of the box).
This was mentioned nowhere in the instructions or even the outside packaging.
If you're just looking to give yourself a single keyless point of entry, then of course you wouldn't need one on every door, bu... Read More
Competitiveness
Good lock some problems programming but all in all a good lock better then the competition works well
Works well with my smartthings hub and alexa.
If your getting a zwave lock it doesn't get any better than yale.
I added a smartthings hub for the iot features.
