He did not realize you have to press 1 and 2 at the same time based on that description but they are shown pressed at the same time in the accompanying picture

I have always wanted to try a keyless entry system but i was put off by the installation

This is a numeric keypad system so you would just install it program it and then enter the code whenever you wanted to get in

Also this keypad is battery powered so you will have to make sure to keep the batteries working or else you may be locked out of your house if you put this on your front door
