It has all of the newest bells and whistles including things like dolby atmos. Great amp for the money. Never had a problem.

Once setup properly there isn't a sound bar available that can even come close to the sound quality.
This unit does do 120hz for ps5 and xbox .
Price
Has exceptional sound for the price range and far more features then i expected.
Otherwise this receiver is great value for the price
This amp was on sale and had a payment plan with no interest which made this a no brainer purchase.
Shipping
Delivery was quick and in great condition.
Competitiveness
Marantz and many other high end manufacturers are having it.
Sound improvement compare to sony dh 790… but main reason is the possibility to use a power amp and drove the front chanels.
And there is a better manual available for download from yamaha website.

That would allow regular bass audio to be routed to the sub without having movie explosion rattles shaking the entire apartment

The musiccast handling of tidal is also a bit clunky i really wish they supported proper tidal connect instead so the vastly superior interface of the tidal application could be used instead of musiccast that makes it a slug trying to navigate through any large music collection

Top plastic scratches easily so avoid putting remote on plastic top border
