I'm a newbie, and this is my only guitar ever. It looks like a good guitar for a beginner, and it has everything you need to begin playing. When you learn how to do the setup down the road you will end up with an even better instrument.

It's heavy without being too overbearing either. But, it's on the heavy side.

Watt amp is perfect for the job. Works great with my lekato ws-80 wireless set up. The amp is adequately powerful.

Cons

Product looks amazing, but there's no sound coming through the amp. I have no way of knowing if it's the guitar, the */cheap chord, or the amplifier. To much of a hassle to get it back for a return.

The frets feel great, it stays in tune, the humbucker produces some amazing sound.

The d string broke after a few weeks of regular use.

I also particularly like the hss configuration, as most strat-style guitars in this price range tend to have all single-coil pickups.
