It pivots back and forth easily. It's not very tall, but i lived in a humid (floppy paper) part of the country and keep sheets in 9 x 12 sleeve binders that stand flat.
Cons
Don't buy a keyboard online. If i buy something that's defective and get it replaced, that's not a big deal. It falls under the yamaha warranty which required me to take it to a serviceman 60 miles away.
The sound quality is just terrible. This does not at all play like an acoustic piano. Design flaw results in muffled and resonant sound. Yamaha customer service is abysmal.
Incredibly irritated. For five months. This is just horrendous. One is particularly bothersome because it is raised.

I needed to get a replacement for my old p140 whose nownoisy action has worn out considerably but is still better than the terrible sloppy and noisy action on the casio privia i wasted money on three years ago

Unfortunately one of the yamaha apps that they claimed works with the 525 did not and i really dont need to change the settings on the piano via an app but thats what smartpianist does

The other app was for recording but it either doesnt work or i havent figured out how to hook everything up properly to make it work

But seriously for me this was like getting to play a 200000 instrument actually two counting the new bösendorfer sampling for under 2000 including a 4year asurion 34nomatterwhathappens34 protection plan
