I have been using the pa-5d reguraly now for over 8 months with my rx-7 rhythm programmer (drum machine) and all is perfect!
My keyboard is an older model and after much searching i found the new product that would make my keys play again.
Yeah, the unit turned on and made some sounds, but it could not fully function properly.
The yamaha pa-5d is the right and proper replacement for the old pa-1210 adapter!

Exactly what i wanted and at a good price.
I took off a star due to the price, which seemed extremely expensive given the size and function.
I looked on line and got a decent deal .
Shipping
Service through amazon was very exceptional and arrived within a week.
I found the replacement adaptor to be very difficult in locating at retailors and other on line sites, however amazon came through.
Packaging/appearance
I received my power adapter yesterday and was shocked by the size of the thing, it was much smaller than the picture above.

Anyway i recently purchased on ebay a yamaha rx7 as a back up for mine which i have been using since 1988

You guessed it the seller did not have the original ac adapter which was the pa1210

Instead he sent with a much smaller adapter claiming it worked fine with the rx7

After unsuccessfully locating a pa1210 no longer made i contacted yamaha support and finally talked to one guy who has been there for many years
