Pros & Cons

Pros

The yamaha seems easier to play without creating squeaky notes and creating condensation. I hope yamaha makes a tenor in this material as i'm traveling for 3 months next year.

I have never been disappointed in the quality of tanya if their insturments. It's substantial, not cheaply made and is beautiful looking too! And it's environmentally friendly. Very much like my pearwood recorders.

What did you expect from a bran name company instrument , price affordable to any budget .

Shipping

It arrived a week earlier than expected so i am overall thrilled with this flute.

I received my yamaha yra-402b alto recorder in the mail today.

Packaging/appearance

I just opened it out of the box, assembled and played it (even though i don't know what i'm doing lol).

Competitiveness

Recorder has a beautiful tone, somewhat more solid than yamaha’s regular plastic recorder.

I also own the yamaha 300 series soprano and alto as well as many wooden recorders.

I don't know, i found it to be subpar to others i've played in the past such as aulos or even a triebert (also a cool matte bla...  Read More
