Pros & Cons
Pros
The storia ii is lovely with is semi-glass mahogany and walnut construction, and brass and ivory highlights. It has a passive pickup which sounds good when plugged into an amp. It also has excellent projection and nice bright tone without sacrificing ... Read More
Yamaha storia iii is very playable and high quality. Good choice for beginners, but any player can enjoy it. One of the nicest-looking guitars i've seen at any price point.
The sound is rich and pleasing. It sounds sweet and crisp like most yamaha instruments. The brass bridge pins really add to how bright the guitar sounds! This is the acoustic guitar that's the right fit for me.
It holds its tuning well. The tuners, fret board, and subtle inlays all have a handsome understated appeal. The tuning pegs work smoothly and hold fast.
The only issue i have with it is the packaging. Considering some of my boxes arrived dented or sometimes beat up, i am a little concern with the way this guitar is packaged. Comes from their japanese hq - box will arrive with english / japanese text o... Read More
Cons
For something as big as that scratch to pass as selling condition speaks pretty poorly about a company to me.
Highlights

I took violin lessons at 50 but without having a solid string background found it so difficult.
Price
This is an excellent guitar for the money.
It is a beautiful instrument and it's one of the nicest-looking guitars i've seen at any price point.
And for the money they were impressed but they think its a guitar for a girl or small hands since the neck is so thin.
Overall, this is a pretty nice guitar for the price.
Packaging/appearance
It arrived in 100% perfect condition, but i think the packaging could use a little extra padding.
The packaging is a little light, but arrive perfectly even though there's no label indicating "fragile.
It's also notthe only issue i have with it is the packaging.
Competitiveness
I have a few other guitars (martin, fender strat, les paul, and another yamaha ac1m).
I imagine there was some board meeting at yamaha that went like this:mr.
