The phone app works fantastic. The user manuals provide a good start on ways to configure a 5. It is sometimes hard to tell which device you are scrolling to.
Yamaha nx1000m speakers sound great with this amp. Video output is noticeably sharper.
Musiccast allows you to play music from streaming music services and your own music server. I have a range of game systems ran through this 4k receiver from the original super nintendo(with hdmi adapter ) to a ps4 pro and they all work flawlessly.
Cons
Tried disconnecting everything( speakers, hdmi, etc) but seems to be dead. That speakers configuration requires 2 proprietary amps to drive the subwoofers. Had screen flicker when using hdmi video switching.

Very pleased the sound quality is great the remote is awesome and overbuilt type quality-
Works great, lots of power and features, easy to use.
The same speakers, signals, songs that i had been enjoying for years sound better with this tsr 7850, seriously.
Tonight, the left speaker stopped working, and i spent an hour rechecking connections and trying new speaker cables with another speaker.

Great price for this perfect as new product!
Very good and guilt free at that price.
It was an expensive cable, but definitely able to handle the data.

I added the small yamaha subwoofer and it enhances the whole package.
Factory-box packed inside much bigger amz box with "padding".
My receiver came in an original box and appeared to be new and unused.
Competitiveness
The refurbished amazon was $100 less than costco and i got refurbished sony atmos speakers (sscse) too.
I was generally familiar with yamaha receivers, and this setup similar.
