The spin-locks pretty much need to be continuously re-tightened, even during a short workout.

Plates aren’t too thick aren’t too tall the rubber washers on the ends of the threads and inside the spinlocks make a big difference in how snug it is and i can’t say i’ve had a dumbbell handle with a better grip either
