Pros & Cons
Pros
The plates fit perfectly in the backpack's laptop pocket without flopping around on hikes. I slide it into the hydration reservoir of my osprey 22 l daypack and it works great. No issues with sizing or movement while i’m on the move.
This 30lb ruck plate fits perfectly in my goruck. Fits in the laptop compartment and it snugly fits in its water bladder compartment which is where i have it. The 45lb plate fits the gorucks rpc 3.
Heavy-gauge cast iron construction with durable black paint coating. Edges are smooth and well made. It was packaged well. Finish is durable and it does the job.
It is a versatile piece of equipment that can be used for front plate raises, goblet squats, chest press, and so many other great exercises. Great for dialing in desired weight for my routine rucks.
The quality of the weight plate is excellent and the grips on either end make it easy to carry. After several miles of carrying an aging 50-pound pitty uphill for the final half-mile, it gets heavy in the hot alabama sun. Needed some filler to get to ... Read More
Cons
It's very rough with sharp edges from rust and would likely cut/tear something at some point. Horrible finish.
Highlights
Quality
The plate is super durable and seems like it will hold up well over time, which is exactly what i was looking for.
Easy handling and fits great in my daypack, goes in the main compartment but if i don’t need my bladder it could easily fit in there.
Slides right in the bladder holder, smooth edges don't tear at all.
At first having a dedicated weight for rucking made little sense but having it ready to go at any moment helps nullify my excus... Read More
Price
Great value for the money on this weight plate.
No need to spend double or triple the price on a weight.
Plus, the price was right on point for the value it offers.
And that is what makes it great: you don't have to spend $300 on a rucking backpack to use this to it's maximum potential.
Packaging/appearance
It wasn't the items fault - just poorly packaged and poorly transported.
As such, one end of my handle was dented with the protective coating peeling off.
Competitiveness
This is a no brainer to purchase this one for a fraction of the price compared to the name brand.
Don’t wast your money on other name brand weights sold other places.
If you're wondering if you should buy this or a more expensive brand.
Some companies are charging nearly triple the cost for the same thing.
