Pros
The color is a nice deep dark grey and the quality of stitching and beads seems excellent. It feels very well made, strong and durable. This wonderful blanket address that and saves the day.
It helps soothe body pain and helps him stay asleep. I have chronic pain in my limbs and joints so this totally helps with the pain. It regulates temperature well- hot or cold.
Good quality as well as ‘cooling’. Material used is lightweight and it actually is cool with my ac being at 77/78. It seems to be really good quality and evenly distributed.
This blanket is so comfy! It has a satin feel to it. The material feels nice as well …not scratchy.
The weight is nicely distributed so you're not stuck with a lump on one end. Raven distribution of weight- all in 5 x 5 inch squares. Lbs is for the whole blanket and the part that will actually cover you is much lighter.

Overall we think this blanket is a great addtion; both the quality and price give is a good nights sleep.

Even when i use a fluffy blanket under with the weighted one on top, it usually falls off me.
It does tend to run warm, so i am concerned about the summer months when things heat up in texas.
Packaging/appearance
The only reason i’m giving it a 4 star is because the packaging was ripped when i opened my box.

Its kind of slippery though so if you try to sleep under it at night depending on how you sleep you might find it has slipped onto the floor

I think this blanket is great for one person perhaps to wrap up with on the couch or in a chair but it didnt work out for me on the bed

It did say that its machine washable in the description but the tags say dont machine wash

The reason i tried it is because it advertised that it pushes the heat away doesnt hold it in under the blanket

I bought 2 cooling weighted blankets
