Lid is simple and effective. The lid seals perfectly. It’s leak proof!
Cons
The yeti has a plastic lid that leaches a petroleum taste into the water. The stainless steel somehow never retains smell or or discolors when taken care of. It needs to be cleaned with a stainless steel cleaner in order to clean.

Definitely the best thermal insulated travel cups and mugs on the market.
Plastic sip lid doesn't heat up or freeze.
Well built, strong, but a bit heavy.
Price
As always (for now) yeti offers real value for your money.
I am ordering more if price will be reduced.

We really like how the lid operates compared to other options out there.
This brand yeti and stanley are the best hands down.
Overall it's the best i've found and prefer it over the fellow mug.
Although the aero press doesn't fit perfectly, it's more than enough to get the job done.

It is definitely spill proof when both outer and inner caps are screwed down tight

But as with all leakless liquid sippers gaskets are necessary and over time must be removed and thoroughly washed or they start to smell
