Pros & Cons
Pros
The products work as advertised if you follow the instructions for pre-chilling and loading. They all stay secure and cold for several days even in direct sunshine out on the lake. The tighter you pack it also increases length of time. Read up on deta... Read More
I am a sophisticated manly man that likes guns, motorcycles, lifted vehicles and a cold pbr. I might be a little sensitive by purchasing the tan color to match my boat’s interior. Great for wilderness camping.
A tundra 35 and roadie combined hold 39 cans of beer. Cans of coors light with one stacked for a height check.
Cons
It is so heavy and clumsy and awkward that i will probably sell it on fb marketplace for much less than i paid for it. Better off keeping it and trying to sell it locally.
Received a defective leaking and misaligned cooler. Rubber seal seems to be pinched/deformed flat. Yeti claims that had too many complaints that they were too hard to open.
This is hardly an environment where keeping things chilled would be challenging. Whether i use dry ice or dry ice for 24 hours then ice cubes the cold lasts no more than 3-4 days. I emailedl yeti and their response was i wasn't using enough ice, where... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Very solid top and the hinge feels like it will last.
I really like this cooler and it keeps things cold for a long time, but it is very heavy.
This is deceptively small inside and heavy af.
The plug was missing making this thing useless.
Price
Definitely worth the money and an easy workaround for kids who can’t keep a refrigerator in their dorm rooms.
My old igloo caused me to have to buy a bag of ice a day and when in tourist areas that can be as much as $6 a day.
This product is expensive and its hard to get over the price for a cooler.
Shipping
Arrived in a timely manner, and was exactly what was ordered.
Yeti sent me another plug quickly and the cooler does work great.
Only issue was the date it was supposed to be delivered.
It arrived within a few days of purchasing.
Packaging/appearance
I stored 2 large ice packs, 3 qt containers, 4 pint containers, and multiple 1/2 cup containers and ziploc bags.
Packaging was in good shape as well!
I have also noticed that the cooler has marks and scratches all over it, i thought maybe from being delivered but the box was not damaged.
Competitiveness
The yeti 35 in my option is pretty small and i should have gone with the yeti 45.
If you're debating between the yeti 35 and 45, i would go with the 35 is good for maybe 1 persons worth of stuff.
