Pros
Each step is held together with velcro. Now, my pug who doesn't need them even uses them. My senior dog has a hard time jumping. Platform on the top of each stair is a good size - not too small and not too big.
The storage capability is awesome for storing my dogs toys. Overall ok. It attracts the dog hair!
Cons
These steps have lids on them for storage which is great however they are not sturdy whatsoever. It's very easy to assemble and looks good but that's about it. The lid on each step falls off at the slightest touch.

Both my dog and i are very happy.
I am curious as to the durability with the weight of the pit.

These do offer extra storage inside and move out of the way very easily.
Competitiveness
Everything was great about it, easy to put together and sturdy for my 15lb dog.
I use these as one alternate set of steps for my two yorkies.
