Each of the 12 vertical lines on the side of the bin is a possible place to put a divider. The four removable, adjustable dividers make it perfect for holding small purses and wallets. My wife wishes the dividers were a little looser.

This is a good quality plastic, but not as thick as another refrigerator bin set that we have that is even sturdier. So far, it is faring well. It sits firmly and solidly without tipping.
It fits perfectly in my kitchenaid counter-depth freezer. Can be used lengthwise or widthwise.
