It provides a small amount of cushioning and support without really lifting my head above the level of the mattress right under the back of my head is maybe 1cm above the level of the mattress as the pillow compresses under the heaviest part of the head

Also it claims it is filled with a natural soybeanderived fiber but on the tag it actually specifies that its mostly microfiber with a small percentage of the stuffing being soybean fiber
