Ys viii has a lot to offer; it's definitely held to a high production quality standard and it's a masterpiece.

So far i havent had any serious problems with the leveling as you just play through the story which wasn't the case in ys6.

If i could pick one bone, it would be with the limited number of costume options for the characters.

After the problems in launch with the translation that have already been corrected, it is a safe recommendation.

The game itself looks pretty good, it's not final fantasy 15 levels of over-polish but the game also runs vastly better than ff15 at 60fps.
