Pros & Cons
Pros
Favorite book for a toddler. My 3 young kids have all loved this book as toddlers. My 20 month old grandson loves this book along with another book by the same author called tooth. Leslie patricelli makes the best books for reading to children between... Read More
The story is cute and engaging. Keeps little ones engaged and entertained. The illustrations are simple, with strong colors and clear images. The illustration are easily identified by each child.
Yummy yucky is funny and tongue in cheek. It's clever and the yummy/yucky comparisons aren't either sugar condemning or pushing junk food on kids. Clever pairings include soup/soap and sandwich/sand.
Cons

Hot sauce and coffee aren't yucky and this just encourages picky eating behavior. These are all unhelpful lessons to teach your kid. It's not yucky for him. Will be returning this white centric nonsense.
Highlights
Quality
They are durable, the illustrations are engaging, and they are perfect stories for him!
Animated voices and asl with appropriate faces made these books the favorites for all 3 of my sons.
Stomach bugs (and yucky things) are more generalist, unless you’re into feeding insect proteins to your kids (in which case, tough luck).
The pages are sturdy enough for those little hands as well.
Price
My son has been watching it on youtube and i finally bought it and his reaction is priceless
Shipping
The key to these books is all in the delivery!
Competitiveness
" blueberries and blue crayons get a similar treatment, with the crayons staining the baby's teeth blue.
It's clever and the yummy/yucky comparisons aren't either sugar condemning or pushing junk food on kids.
