One of the main features of this mandolin is that the mandolin part is being moved down and up instead of the food item itself

With the chute for the food item over the blades it creates more a barrier away from the blades to keep the user safe from injury

My main dislike for this device though is that there are 3 separate pieces and they dont store neatly together in any way so you basically have 3 parts lying around separately somewhere in your kitchen when not in use

Also cleaning it can be a bit of a chore since things can get stuck in the nooks and crannies inside where the blades are
