Pros & Cons
Pros
The material is thick enough to work. The amount of adhesive is perfect. It's thick and durable. It protects your inner tubes from your spoke *.
This is great if you suffer from pinch flats during installation or spokes popping your tires. I have an old peugeot bike where the spokes caused tire flats.
Comes with two rolls, one for each tire. Beats the heck out of the rubber rim tape that came with the bike! This tape is cheaper that what was sold at both my local independently-owned bike store and some chain retailers in new york city.
Cons
I commute to work so this was a big liability. Not so much with the latest two rolls. That makes it difficult to install, and who knows if it stayed in place when i mounted the tires.
Highlights
Quality
The quality is good and plenty of adhesion.
I am very impressed with this product.
The tape doesn’t stretch like good quality tape should.
Packaging/appearance
Much better than the old junk on the rims.
Competitiveness
Went on nicely on my 700c road rims (i used 17mm tape).
Good protection, easy to apply, priced right.
