To make it easier for me to clean and to help make sure i cleaned it often i stored the foot and anchors and put the pedestal and bath over a pipe i buried in the ground leaving about 3 of the pipe exposed for stability

I did have to elevate 1 side of the arrangement after the squirrels found it and started mounting it from the same side every time they jump up to take a drink of water but it was a minor adjustment and a reflection on the soil not the bird bath

The bird bath holds about 12 gallon of water so i have to refill it every other day in 100 degree temperatures with birds and squirrels drinking from it
