Of course it’s made out of plastic however the inside pieces for the inside of your feet are reinforced with a sturdier plastic but the outer pieces are notthe plastic is thin and can not hold up to the pressure of kneeding the outside portion of your feetuntil those pieces broke it actually made our feet feel so much better it’s not worth the price until they figure out how to make the plastic pieces sturdieri bought it spring of last year it didn’t last but maybe a week and just now had time to look into it way past the return datewe liked it and was disappointed it didn’t last
