Pros & Cons
Pros
Zinsser does what it claims if you apply it according to the directions. A lot cheaper than the main builders merchants.
Cons
Product itself is great, but no lid clips on the tin meant that it leaked in transit. The container has several bumps. No smell but not waterproof.
Highlights
Quality
Easy to use and good coverage on old, ugly pine door
Its all-in-one functionality, quick drying time, and compatibility with sanding make it an indispensable tool for any project.
Used as primer that most top coats adhere to
Which otherwise stained and flaked paint off previously.
Price
Great value for money and easy to use and works well.
This was a brilliant time and labour saver , 2 costs over the varnish then was able to paint my desired colour, fab!
Expensive but if it does it’s job i don’t mind, time will tell.
It's expensive but well worth the outlay.
Packaging/appearance
Looks thin and rubbish when i applied it on to my varnished boat wallsbut!
Painted an old varnished edinburgh press cupboard which had new wood shelves.
The side panel on the cupboard under our stairs was varnished wood.
Competitiveness
I have to say all the zinsser products i have used listed above had been better than anything i have used in the past.
I bought this to use with zinsser degreaser and zinsser mould killer and zinsser mould resistant paint.
