Pros

The chestnut brown shade is very sturdy and looks handsome in the room. I believe some reviews mentioned squeaking? The design is solid and seems sturdy.

The thought that goes into packing and prepping the customer is first class. The box is heavy, but manageable for a 110# woman by herself - if no stairs are involved! The wrench they provide makes assembly a breeze and is worth keeping.

It has plenty of easy space underneath for the 14. Inch futon. Works great for underbed storage containers or our cats fortress of solitude. It's low to the ground but still leaves a bit of space under for your shoes to hide under.

For the length (rail) and width portion to be * in together, it's helpful to lay out the wide bar down flat (horizontally) and hold the length/rail portion vertically. There is a qr code in the instructions that links you to a youtube video.

Cons

The footboard has one wooden board and it is cracked from what appears to be the attachment screw was over tightened. The wooden slat was cracked in multiple areas. I understand a mixup but they didn't get anything right.

This mattress is hard. Broke within a year. Very squeaky after 8 mos, then collapsed.

Assembly was super easy on my own and i was blown away by the quality of the materials and attention to detail for the money i paid.

Paying extra to get the one with the piece of wood at the bottom, in my case made no sense but it looks okay.
