Way too long in my opinion and really makes it hard to install for more universal bed frames but still doable atleast for me

However you look at it either the slots in the standards need to be a quarter of an inch longer at the bottom location of the slot or the quality control team needs to check the location of the holes in the brackets when compared to the already mentioned slots in the standards

Because the lower holes were not usable i opted to use the next hole up for the bottom connection

This is not optimal as it allows more forward and backward range of motion at the top of the headboard

An easy solution that is sure to be used in college dorms would be to stuff a sweatshirt or small towel between the top of the headboard and the wall to prevent a loud repeated audible banging sound against the wall
