My personal doing - it’s states you only need a matteress and no boxspring but i had one from my previous bed , so i used it - i love it !

But compared to other zinus models, this one is more of a 4 than 5 stars.

It came with everything you needed, and even a rubber mallet and a small genius little ratchet that made assembly a sinch.
