The instructions were clear we had a bit of difficulty attaching it to the bed but figured out that the washer needs to go on the bolt before sliding the bolt through the bracket

So if you have a wall at the head of your bed this should work just fine if you have odd spacing and cant put your bed against a wall i would look for something else
