Pros & Cons
Pros
This 1941 zippo lighter is the best one i've owned. Currently he uses whatever is handy to light the chimney, which is usually a nearly-empty barbecue lighter, or sometimes a plumbing torch when the lighter is totally dead.
Love the 1941 reissue. The amazing 1941 design is a jewel. And don't forget the lifetime warranty.
This one is a little larger, and also thicker. Fits better in the pocket and feels better in hand.
Cons
The repop looks great, but the insides start to jut out of the case after one or two lights. This case also feels cheaply made. Lid is wobbly, makes a screeching sound when opening it, gets stuck halfway when closing it.
The metal feels like sandpaper against skin. If you're gonna use it, the fingerprints show up bad on hp silver. I'm sure others had a better experience but this time i did not.
Highlights
Quality
Zippos have stood the test of time and been able to maintain consistent quality products.
They're also well made and can last a lifetime.
The mechanism is dead simple (and therefore reliable) with a flame that doesn't go out at all easily.
I was able to open and close with one hand from the first attempt, even though i had spilled lighter fluid on my fingers.
Price
Love it, and a good price too.
I wish the lighter fluid was a little cheaper, but it’s a small price to pay to have an amazing piece of history in your hands.
I really wasn't expecting much only bought it because it was really cheap on sale.
T dupont and this especially at the same price point.
Shipping
I did a return/replace, and the very next day the correct one arrived.
Packaging/appearance
Product was very well packed and the lighter box will be very safe during transit.
Very pretty and super easy to use i got more than i thought i was getting.
I got the 1935 replica to carry without worrying about scratches because the pictures made it seem rather brushed but as i open... Read More

Competitiveness
This lighter is no different other than a few things that fall in line with a vintage lighter of the same era.
If it weren't for the customization and limitless variety, the zippo corporation would struggle financially because nobody who ... Read More
But this gave me the chance to compare the vintage to the classic.

The finish is brushed chrome face back high polished chrome sides

This high polished sides makes it a little bit slippery while spinning the flint wheel but it is manageable not that much slippery that can be a deal breaker

I added to it a single torch insert which made it less slippery since it doesnt spark using a flint wheel
