The only true caveat is that rapid charging of either the power bank or its connected device are disabled when both ports are connected such as when in passthrough mode

I suspect this is because the power bank supports charging low current devices like wireless earbuds without having to activate a separate low power trickle charging mode like some other power banks do

I suspect the tiny tiny current draw from the chipset in the lightning cable is responsible for keeping the power bank awake

Finally i should mention that this power bank is noticeably heavier probably around 50 or so more than an equivalent capacity 12w poweradd model one of the alternative form factor power banks which are a bit smaller in terms of height and width but twice as thick
