Pros

There is no timer and the unit keeps the water hot all day and night. It takes a while to do a first boil if you have the whole five liters in it.

This appliance stands out as my favorite item on the countertop. It’s easy to use, fits nicely on my desk, and matches my rice cooker.

Cons

The inside of the unit is plastic not stainless steel. After cleaning, there's a spot where the coating seems falling off. Never had rust so quickly at inner bottom of pot.

Zojirushi's warranty is only 1 year. Diagnostic testing is $45 and then parts expense plus return shipping. Used one or two times, and fogged up panorama window was noticed and repaired.

Doesn’t scream that japanese quality. It is disappointing because panasonic and zojirushi have been known for their good quality.
