Pros
The nonstick coating is clearly more durable than on the cheapies. Clean-up is easy and i love the fun alarm sounds! Downsizing to the 3 cup size works perfect for us.

Cons
Zojirushi is a micom-only (not neuro fuzzy logic), small 3 cup unit that's made in china. It has a malfunctioning latch that holds the lid closed. It also has a lithium battery that is impossible to replace. Made in china and has no timer.

Quality
Extremely well made, durable, easy to clean and compact.
This machine is a beast and still works great the pan has gotten scratched up to hell over the years but it still works.
After 2 or 3 years, this pot started scratching, even when i exclusively used plastic paddles.
- scoop holder placement is strange and seems to be a complete afterthought
Price
I can say that was money well spent its the perfect seize for me.
I bought this back on january 9, 2015 for $93.
Not cheap but way above the local items i could find.
I'm on the fence as to whether it's worth $110+, but there doesn't seem to be much of a middle ground between cheap and luxury.

Other than a rice maker, there are several ways to cook rice and the results can vary depending on a number of factors.
The zojirushi definitely makes better rice than the cheap ones.
