Pros

It keeps beverages piping hot for over 36 hrs. Keeps content warm up to 4 hours outside at 34 f without loosing any heat. Did some hot water test comparing different mugs put hot water in them, placed them in my balcony, waited for a couple hours.

Cons

The stopper is needlessly complex. Normally my biggest fear with zojirushi products is with the rubber lining getting moldy.

The hot drink inside, tea in my case looses it's heat. Bought a comparable $10 thermos brand. This mug keeps things hot and it keep things cold, but so will any cheapo thermos.

Zojirushi is actually a superior brand to tiger, which reflected on the price as well.

Packaging/appearance

I specifically bought this as i needed a travel mug with a narrow diameter; specifically to the fit the cup holder in the a320.

In contrast the flip-top you just flip it open and the top stays attached to the container.

Competitiveness

I love zojirushi products - and they are worth the price!

This is my 5th zojirushi stainless steel travel mug.

But, i hv a zojirushi thermos from years back, and it keeps my liquids piping hot for over 36 hrs.

I bought a larger zojirushi thermos for non-coffee beverages (or ice water in summer)-- the gaskets do retain flavor, so keep that in mind.
