I personally think that these screw cap versions are better as it’s simpler has less parts so it won’t break as easily easier to wash and keeps the heat longer than the flip open versions and i know this as i previously had the smsc60 which was good but was a pain in the butt to clean all the groves and crevices in the flip open mechanism
