Pros

I adore its entirety to the very sheen the matte black has to offer. It works well, is sleek to look at, and the cinnamon color is very nice.

Love the locking snap button top. I still have it and purchased a backup because they no longer made. The avg.

It is skinny, so for my fairly small hands, it is soooo easy and comfortable to hold. Nice there is a lid (i use it paddling so it is often on the bottom of a mucky boat) my only wish is that it had a handle or strap for easier carrying.

Cons

The mug has a non-stick coating, presumably teflon, that recently started to peel off after about one-year of use. The coating on the outside feels thin enough that i'd also be careful about it being scratched/rubbed/chipped off for cosmetic reasons.

Cold drinks go in and immediately make the exterior of the thermos too hot to the touch. Ice and water in the container and within 4 hours the ice is melted. Will go back to my contigo.

It's not cheap, but it's worth the price.

Competitiveness

Price wise the contigo wins but doesn't stay hot as long as the zojirushi.

The last one i recently purchased from another brand did not keep my water cold at all.
